About John Senior

John Senior (1923-1999), a graduate of Columbia, served as a professor of the humanities at Cornell University and the University of Kansas. As a professor during the 1960s, Dr. Senior sought to help his students in their search for meaning through an education in the great books. Dr. Senior's scholarship has served to restore the poetic mode which has greatly influenced all of the Western World. He is the author of both The Death of Christian Culture and The Restoration of Christian Culture.
